Kristin Cameron
Kristin, born in Ohio and raised in Connecticut, graduated from Pennsylvania State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology. After graduation, she worked at Prudential Home Mortgage in Maryland where she quickly went from an entry level Human Resource Assistant to a Recruiter to a Human Resource Generalist, all within four years. Kristin then moved onto Chevy Chase Bank in Maryland to sharpen her skills in Human Resources and Employee Relations as the HR Manager. Relocating back to Connecticut, Kristin decided to switch gears and combine her recruitment and employee relations experience with sales and became the Branch Manager of a national temporary service for four years before starting Lauren Staffing in April 2000 with her partner, Joe Burke. Kristin is a member of SHRM and the American Staffing Association, as well as the Glastonbury Chamber of Commerce. Overall, Kristin has 15 years of experience in Human Resources and the Staffing Industry. Jennifer Barrett
Jennifer, a New York native, has been in the staffing industry for more than 10 years and has experience in sales, recruiting and management. As Director of Recruitment, Jennifer is responsible for planning and strategy development in addition to her primary role, recruiting. In her recruiting, she uses a consultative approach and strives to make the perfect matches for her candidates and clients by understanding their individual needs and aligning them to benefit both. Jennifer has experience in both temporary staffing and direct hire search, has undergone industry specific training including obtaining the designation, Certified Staffing Professional and has been recognized as a Top Producer, Employee of the Month and Employee of the Year. Prior to joining Lauren Staffing, Jennifer lived and worked in California in the creative staffing industry servicing companies like The Gap and Wells Fargo Bank. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Spanish from Dickinson College and a Master's Degree in Management from the University of Alabama. Jennifer Bruening
Jennifer Bruening, a native of Connecticut, joined Lauren Staffing Services in 2004. As Recruitment Specialist, she assists both clients and associates in the process of building strong working relationships, and she especially enjoys the aspect of enabling associates to attain their employment goals. In addition to recruiting, she is also deeply involved in account management and payroll administration. Prior to joining Lauren Staffing, Jenny performed administrative functions for several music education facilities and taught private music instruction in addition to maintaining a performance career. Jenny holds a Bachelor of Music degree from the New England Conservatory of Music and a Master of Music degree from The Hartt School. She is currently a freelance bassoonist as well as a member of several Hartford area symphony orchestras, including Connecticut Virtuosi, the New Britain Symphony Orchestra and the Nutmeg Symphony. jennifer.bruening@laurenstaffing.com
Carol Doyle
Carol, born in Upstate, NY, has joined Lauren Staffing as New Business Development Manager. Prior to Lauren Staffing, she was Inside Sales Manager for an Israeli wire manufacturing company which was started in the basement of her home. Carol was instrumental in growing sales of this business to over 15 million dollars since its inception in 1991. Carol is well-travelled having visited not only Israel but India, Germany, Cyprus, Italy and France as well. When not on the phone drumming up business at Lauren Staffing, she enjoys gardening, walking and an occasional round of golf. Amanda Kuhn
Amanda, also from Connecticut, is the newest member of the Lauren Staffing team. As Recruitment Coordinator she helps identify top talent through resume selection, screening, interviewing and testing to make the best matches for our clients. She also assists in general office support including payroll processing. Prior to joining Lauren Staffing, Amanda attended Eastern Connecticut State University where she obtained her Bachelor's degree in Psychology; a perfect match for a career in staffing. Brett Andrews
Brett, originally from New Jersey, has been living and working in Connecticut for over 30 years and brings plenty of experience to Lauren Staffing as our Front Desk Coordinator. Prior to joining our team, she was an Administrative Assistant in the printing industry for more than fourteen years and is now the “first” face of our company. Brett supports our recruitment and sales team in an administrative capacity and is responsible for our temporary associate payroll. She has two grown daughters in the Connecticut/Massachusetts area with whom she spends as much time as possible; she loves music and enjoys frequenting new places and visiting her family on Cape Cod any chance she gets. brett.andrews@laurenstaffing.com
Polamalu the Pug
Pola, born in St. Louis, Missouri and raised in Connecticut, has been the official mascot of Lauren Staffing since February 2006. She is named after Troy Polamalu, a strong safety for the Pittsburgh Steelers. Pola takes great pride in greeting candidates and clients every day, as well as checking all trash cans for food. In her spare time, she thoroughly enjoys eating, sleeping and taking long walks….
